At Frameworks Northwest, every framing project is designed specifically for the artwork it protects. Custom framing requires time, careful design, and precise craftsmanship so each piece can be safely preserved and beautifully presented.
Because every project is custom, the following policies help ensure projects move through the shop smoothly and fairly for all clients.
All custom framing projects are final at the time of purchase.
During the design process we carefully select the frame, mats, glazing, and mounting methods for your artwork. These materials are custom cut and ordered specifically for your project. Once the order is placed, materials cannot typically be changed or canceled.
If a glazing change is needed, it may be possible within 24 hours of the original order, depending on the status of the materials order.
Custom framing requires time for materials ordering, design work, cutting, assembly, and final fitting.
Most projects require a minimum of approximately four to six weeks from the time the order is placed.
Lead times may vary depending on:
Frameworks Northwest is a busy working studio and often completes 80–100 projects each month, so careful scheduling ensures every project receives the attention it deserves.
When your project is completed, we will contact you by phone, text, or email to arrange pickup.
To maintain quality and fairness to all clients, rush orders are not available. All projects are scheduled at the time the order is placed and completed in the order received.
Frame repairs and restoration work are detailed processes that often require additional time.
Depending on the nature of the repair, restoration projects may require an additional three to four weeks beyond standard framing timelines.
Projects involving multiple items, oversized artwork, shadowboxes, custom mounting, printing, or specialty design work may require additional time due to the complexity of the work involved.
These projects may take four weeks or longer depending on the materials and construction required.
Artwork previously framed elsewhere or through DIY methods may require additional assessment before reframing begins.
This may involve:
These steps are required to ensure the artwork is properly preserved before the new framing process begins.
Completed projects that remain unclaimed for more than 180 days after notification may be considered abandoned unless other arrangements have been made.
In such cases, abandoned work may become the property of FWPT, Inc. DBA Frameworks Northwest.
Because framing projects are custom built and materials are ordered specifically for each piece, all sales are final at the time of purchase.
Frameworks Northwest does not offer refunds, returns, or merchandise credit.
